Attachment and Kusi Wawa

Attachment and Kusi Wawa

Contact is one of the most important parts of the Kusi Wawa Method. It is part of the second part of the Kusi Wawa method and is essential to help your little one relax.

Heat relieves pain naturally, but contact is the part that allows your baby to relax.

In the second part of the Kusi Wawa Method, we must take our baby in our arms, cuddle him well so that he feels like in the belly, rock him and make a constant relaxing noise. We can say shhh or we can sing. Depending on what you see your baby prefers.

Infant colic has a very emotional part. And if we just fix physical pain relief, colic often doesn't go away. Our little one needs to know that we are here. That we embrace him and that he continues to be part of our skin.

For this reason, to try to prevent colic, we also recommend massage and babywearing. Precisely because they provide this emotional contact that all babies need. They provide the basic contact any newborn needs to feel secure.

But, at the time of crying, as you already know, you will not be able to perform a massage and they can reject the porterage. When he cries it is not the moment, because they may even reject the massage or portering moment later even if they are not in crisis. At the moment the crying arises, the only option is to relieve the pain and give them the emotional support they need to help calm them down. And this is precisely what we do with the Kusi Wawa Method. We went through that moment together with them. We accompany them and, together, we help each other to rest.
