Baby colic at night

Baby colic at night

Infant colic is a disorder suffered by newborn babies. Usually, it usually begins at two weeks of life and can last until 3 or 4 months. We can recognize it because they are babies that suddenly break into desperate tears. They get very red and very tense. The fists tightly closed and with a quick movement of arms and legs. Instead of crying, they seem to scream. And it is usually a very anguishing moment for both them and their parents.
Another characteristic of colic is that it usually starts at the same time, and lasts at the same time. And this is the characteristic we are going to talk about today. Normally, infant colic appears at nightfall. And we ask ourselves, why is it like that?
During the day it may be more or less irritable, but at nightfall, colic arrives!
We understand colic as a mixture of abdominal physical pain and emotional pain. Babies who have colic often suffer from a mixture of both factors. Emotional pain, can mean several things. In general, what happens is that these babies, when the night comes, carry on their back a whole day of emotions and experiences. These are over stimulated and, at the same time, exhausted because it would be time to sleep. So, instead of falling asleep that would be the most logical, break in desperation. And it is for this reason, that the colic usually coincide with the night.
The solution? The Kusi Wawa Method. It helps relieve physical pain with the Wawa Band and offers the emotional support they need through the 5S Theory and the Wawa Wrap. With the method we get to relax the newborn naturally and get to sleep. But it is not only at the moment of colic when you have to act. During the day there are other complements that you can do to try to get to the night with a more relaxed and less tired baby. Try to set clear routines, favors that you can do your naps, carry it much that relaxes them and massage them at a time that is calm and receptive.
All these tasks will help you arrive more rested at night and try to avoid breaking into tears.
