The best bottles to prevent baby colic

The best bottles to prevent baby colic

A few weeks ago a mom was writing to mention how well the Kusi Wawa Method had gone to relieve her baby's colic. These are messages that fill us with joy and that, whenever we can, we share with you in the Wawa Users section of our website (http://www.kusiwawa.com/wawa-users-es). In the letter he sent us, he mentioned that his tactic for attacking colic was to combine the Wawa Band with the bottle of Dr Brown.

And as we like to respond to anything that can help avoid the eternal crying of baby colic; We have set to work to see which are the best anti-alcohol bottles on the market. We have looked for pages where they compare bottles, bloggers ... we have everything! So there we go with the principals! A bottle is considered anti-colic when it has a special teat that reduces the amount of air the baby swallows. Today there are many brands in the market and each tries to find a way to minimize the intake of air in a different way. To begin with, we will refer to one of the largest parenting pages in the world. Baby center. In their section in Spanish they show us, according to them, the 6 best bottles to combat colic (you will find the links at the end of the post so you can do your own research).

In the good and cheap web, we have found some excellent comparison tables that are worth looking at. In the blog of your baby also makes a good comparison of 4 bottles that according to them are the best. And in bebes.uno speaks to us of three. We, after reading all these articles, have drawn the following conclusions.

The undisputed leader of anti-alcohol Bibis, as our good mother told us is Dr Brown (in Spain imported by baby innovates). These bottles were created and patented in the USA with the sole aim of reducing colic in babies. All of his bottles are anti-colic. They do not manufacture another type of bottle and, they have specialized so much that they have a very high expertise in the subject. The technology that allows Dr Brown's to reduce both the intake of air is the internal system (a kind of had) that does not let air pass. The teat is also made in a way that assimilates the mother's breast. Our personal opinion? We believe that it is probably the most technical brand that has studied this subject the most. In addition, because it is a manufacturer that only manufactures and investigates teats that reduce air intake, it is probably the one that works best in this regard. However, the only "bad part" is the difficulty in cleaning the bottle. There are many parts and can make the task more complex.

Another brand that comes out in practically all publications is Philips Avent. It is a very simple to use bottle. It consists of three easy-to-clean parts. The teat, has a series of compartments that does not let air pass. Our personal opinion? A very practical bibi to clean, very easy to maintain. If your baby likes and does not cause gas, it can be a very good choice.

Chicco Step up is another of the brands that are being repeated. Apart from the teat with an anti-air system, this brand manufactures the teats to one side. As normally at this early age they are usually lying down when they eat, it seems to us a brilliant idea and a phenomenal way of solving the problem that, when there is little left, does not enter the air.

The Tomme Tipee brand also has a bottle version for colic cases. A tube has been added for air inhalation. The differentiator of this tube is that it is thermosensitive. If the tube is blue: the milk is fine. If it's pink: eye! What a burning! We like this innovation of the thermo sensitivity and the shape of the bottles. They are very ergonomic.

The MAM brand is one of the novelties that are recently making more noise in Spain. Their bottles are practical because they allow individual sterilization. The teats are anticolics since they do not let air pass and it has a system in the bottom of the bottle that allows the air to escape. Also, if you are breastfeeding, they are the bottles that have the greatest acceptance among babies who are breastfeeding

And finally we will talk about the Medela Brand. The brand for breastfeeding deference. They have created bottles that simulate the breast of a mother and, where to drink milk, the baby must suck. Our personal opinion is that, initially, it may seem like a good idea. However, the reality is a bit more complicated than this. By not having a regular flow some babies do not know how to get the milk and they despair (in short, it never ceases to be a bibe that will never be equal to a breast of the mother). If they do not have a very high suction reflex these bottles can be a failure. It goes without saying that all the brands we are talking about are BPA-free and that this is already understood to be a basic standard. If you are encouraged to look at the links that I have left below, you will see that some article talks about some other brand.

But before we say goodbye, we do not want to stop talking about the fashion baby bottle: Twistshake baby. As it is a new bottle, it is not in the rankings because it is of recent creation. But these bottles have also been created thinking of colic and have a special teat to not let the air enter. The bad thing is that they are very new and there are not many cases of experience yet to which we can refer. The reality is that the new costs, although sometimes it should not be. The good thing is that they are created for practicality. The founder created them thinking about how to make life easier for moms who have to give books away from home, or at home but in a hurry. So, sure that they are easy to use and, if in addition, are also designed for colic; Would not it be worth a try? I think next year, the rankings are probably going to be very different!

And before we said good-bye, I wanted to mention that, in the end, the most important thing is to observe your baby. Each baby is different, and sometimes, some have preferences for one bibi or another. What we always recommend is that when the time comes to make the transition from breast to bottle, do not buy high amounts of bottles. Buy several brands and test to see which one your baby likes best. Once you've found which works best for you, then you can buy more.
