They made us believe

They made us believe
They made us believe that we are not strong enough to endure a delivery.

They made us believe that the milk our body produces was not good enough to feed our baby.

They made us believe that our mothers instinct was wrong: to hold them was wrong. That pamering them made them worst. That loving them is weak.

We were made to believe that the whole of life was outdated and did not work.

They made us believe that droplets could do magic.

They made us believe that patience is about losers. That everything we want we have to get it in two seconds and if it does not work. They made us waste our routines. They made us hate the slow fire.

They made us think that patience is our enemy. And with that, they made us forget that life is made up of little things.

They made us forget that nature is wise. That nature connects with your being. That what comes out from within is probably the right thing to do. That what has been done all life, that is why it works.

That instant miracles, or do not exist, or have a cost to pay.

They made us forget that life is composed of moments. That the moments happen. That what one day made us go wrong, the next day will pass and we'll miss it even less. That every routine, that every custom becomes our friend. That the predictable, for babies, is the most enjoyable. And that when we grow we will miss those routines.

Life passes quickly, and when a newborn comes to the family we have to remember to enjoy the Kusi Wawa (the joy of being one more). That the times may be hard. It certainly is a process of adaptation to a new reality. But it is also the most beautiful thing in this world and, without a doubt, what you will remember with more love and more happiness. Enjoy your little ones because one day we will get older. Other very nice things will come, but we will no longer be able to swing them in our arms. To kiss them when we want and to comfort them when they are wrong.
